Holy Trinity Church Bell Ringers

There are eight bells in the tower of Holy Trinity Church, with a ground floor ringing chamber. The tenor bell weighs 10-1-14 cwt in G. The oldest bell was cast by Tobie Norris of Stamford in 1617 and weighs 10½ cwt. It bears the inscription Non Sono Animabus Mortvorum Sed Avribus Vivent Ivm, "I sound not for the souls of the dead, but for the ears of the living".

The bells are rung on the 1st and 3rd Sundays between 9.15am and 9.45am.

Practice night is every Wednesday evening at 7.45pm. Beginners are always welcome. For further details contact Peter Hinton on (01763) 262045.

We are a member of the Ely Diocesan Association of Church Bell Ringers.
